Madison City Schools is proud to serve the students of
North Alabama as an ACCESS Support Center

ACCESS Virtual Learning (Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators and Students Statewide), is an initiative of the Alabama Department of Education.  Its primary goal is to provide equal access to high quality instruction and to improve student achievement through distance learning opportunities. Toward this goal, Alabama students (grades 8-12) can participate in Advanced Placement (AP), Foreign Language, and other courses which otherwise may not be available to them.

This is accomplished through:

  • rigorous digital courses aligned with the Alabama course of study
  • highly qualified and certified teachers hired by the support centers
  • cooperation between participating schools and regional support centers
  • trained school-based facilitators
  • school-based computer equipment available to participating students

All this is provided at no cost to the student.
