About ACCESS
ACCESS Virtual Learning (Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide) provides middle and high school students across Alabama with a wide range of online learning opportunities. With ACCESS, public and private students in grades 6–12 can take courses that may not be available at their local schools or that offer additional flexibility in their academic schedules.
ACCESS courses are offered at no cost to participating schools and students, and include the following options:
- Advanced Placement (AP)
- Career Preparedness
- Career Technical Education (CTE)
- Core courses for grades 6–12
- Credit recovery
- Electives
- Fine Arts
- World languages
Course availability, enrollment, scheduling, and the number of courses a student may take are determined by the student’s local school.
