What Is ACCESS?
ACCESS Virtual Learning provides Alabama students in grades 6–12 with access to high-quality online courses taught by Alabama-certified teachers. Through partnerships with local schools, ACCESS expands educational opportunities by offering core courses, Advanced Placement (AP), Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, credit recovery, world languages, electives, and more.

ACCESS offers more than 140 courses, including all courses required to meet Alabama high school graduation requirements. -
Students can explore Advanced Placement (AP) courses, world languages, electives, credit recovery options, and specialized coursework that may not be available at their local schools. -
ACCESS offers seven complete Career Technical Education pathways that help students develop workforce skills and prepare for college and career success. -
All ACCESS courses are taught by Alabama-certified teachers who provide engaging instruction, meaningful feedback, and ongoing support. -
For more than 20 years, ACCESS Virtual Learning has partnered with schools and districts across Alabama to provide tuition-free, fully accredited online learning opportunities funded by the Alabama State Department of Education.
